I had heard enough and so I butt in.
“What’s wrong about buying a house for yourself?”
This minister is trying to reform me and speaks of all type of scripture even David wanting a house for The Lord.
This man knew the law, I’ll give it to him.
So I challenge him, “Do we all need to build a house for The Lord? Is that our ticket to heaven? Isn’t it the blood?”
He got agitated with me.
So he goes on to show his swordsmanship of The Word, even telling me, “If you‘re not with the church come the rapture- you're staying. You don’t have to stay here, you can leave. Are you here for the food?”
I respond, “Brother X invited me to his home to have fellowship and eat the delicious meal. If he wants me to leave I can.”
Brother X shakes his head, “No.”
But I can tell he was nervous.
“Unless it’s your home, sir? I’m not challenging God, I’m challenging the actions and words of the minister of this fellowship ministering to us today. You still have not answered why he can’t buy a house for himself. Say he can’t make the payments- it’s still his choice to do so. I see nothing wrong with it, but the scorn they’re receiving for their right to purchase one seems wrong to me. And if they fornicate, God can forgive them- how many marriages in the Earth today were married in the courts before sex, surely you can’t be that naive? Are all of them going to Hell for that? And if I’m not with this church during the rapture, is this the only church saved by God?”
He couldn’t answer me and just blabbled on about scripture.
Well just look at your church now Reverend Schmidtke.
You know, there were brothers later in that fellowship that ganged up on me about WISDOM! Of how it is more precious than rubies.
That’s why for some of you, I don’t have sympathy for you.
