Manipulate Women, Forget the gospel
The best writers get their stories in the mist storms. I never knew women couldn’t have their own relationship with God , I never knew we couldn’t pray to our God like Hannah. Denis has made serving God like he’s the only one women have to live for . Get you so close to him you push away your own spouse , push away God and left with an idol who can’t even keep his own wife. This is man is way into himself . But God is first , and powerful and sovereign, little children keep yourselves from idols..

You are so right. If there is anything that drives me most having followed this saga…. It’s for the women and wives.
Being married to even an longgone escapee, I know full well how little has been taught at HOPCC about Biblical marriage. It is not a front and center issue. These wives are being ripped off so bad in the love and mutual submission department.
Having done theraphy and religious trauma theraphy, for healing in this oneness department was imperative. He admits he learned none of this about marriage at HOPCC. Sisters be quiet was about it. Keep your temperance. God I hate that word. Serve in the church buildings more than your own home. Healthy Christ like marriages are not being taught or encouraged. In the end the husbands get ripped off too, being married to their crew more than their wives.
The Bible is so clear about marriage. And putting a pastor in the middle is not in there. Jesus only in the middle, thank you very much.
I truly and deeply feel for these women being neglected of feeling they are married to Jesus through their husbands eyes.
Love your wife as Christ loved His church. He died for the church. Sacrifice. Love on another. Seems not too hard to warp that scripture, alas…. It happened and no one calls it out.
