Religious cults are characterized by several traits, both in the group itself and in its leader. These characteristics aim to maintain control over members and ensure conformity to the group's beliefs and practices.
Characteristics of a Religious Cult:
• Authoritarian Control: The cult exerts a high degree of control over its members' lives, often dictating beliefs, behaviors, relationships, and even daily routines.
• Extreme and Unquestioned Beliefs: Cults often hold rigid and dogmatic beliefs, discouraging questioning or dissent, which are met with shame or punishment. Members may feel pressured to adhere to specific interpretations of religious texts or the leader's teachings.
• Isolation: Cults often isolate members from friends, family, and mainstream society, fostering dependence on the group and limiting exposure to outside perspectives.
• Elitism and Us-vs-Them Mentality: Cults often claim a special status for themselves and their leader, viewing outsiders as inferior or even evil. This creates a strong sense of group unity and makes leaving difficult.
• Exploitative Practices: Cults may exploit members financially, sexually, or emotionally, using their position of power to gain personal benefits. This can involve demanding excessive financial contributions, unpaid labor, or participation in harmful activities.
• Lack of Transparency: Cults often lack transparency regarding their finances, decision-making processes, and true intentions. This secrecy allows leaders to operate with little accountability and potentially engage in illicit activities.
Characteristics of a Cult Leader:
• Charismatic and Persuasive: Cult leaders often possess a magnetic personality that attracts and influences followers. They make followers feel special and understood, fostering a sense of belonging and dependency.
• Authoritarian and Controlling: Cult leaders demand absolute loyalty and unquestioning obedience, often dictating the beliefs and actions of their followers. They may use tactics like "love bombing" and gaslighting to manipulate and control members.
• Claims of Unique Authority or Divinity: Leaders often claim to have exclusive insights or divine authority, positioning themselves as the sole source of truth. They may claim to receive special knowledge or communicate directly with a higher power.
• Narcissistic and Exploitative: Cult leaders may exhibit narcissistic traits, including a grandiose sense of self-importance and a lack of empathy. They prioritize their own needs and desires above those of the group and exploit followers for personal gain.
• Unpredictable and Manipulative: Cult leaders may be unpredictable in their behavior, using this to maintain control and reinforce their perceived authority. They may use fear, intimidation, or manipulation to ensure compliance.
It is important to note that the term "cult" is often used subjectively and can be used in a derogatory sense. However, recognizing these characteristics can help identify groups that may be potentially harmful or manipulative.
Even though this is very informative and it is what has been going on since the beginning of HOP and before with NTCC, God by His Holy Spirit has showed us time after time what HOP was and is about. The losses, the broken/separation from families, divorce and remarriages, abused children and the list goes on. In all of this God warned us and kept us and allowed us to leave and is doing the same for you. The website, The protests, The FBI raid, were all warnings, take heed of what God is trying to do in your lives. Just like in the Bible when God was warning Pharaoh with the plagues, it was for him to turn his heart to God but he did not repent and God hardened his heart. We don't know for how long all of this took place, but God gave Pharaoh time just like He is doing with HOP. For Denis, there is no time, he crossed that line, he is continually blaspheming God, his heart has been turned over to satan, Denis is a walking corpse, he's DONE, don't let that be YOU. God is so loving, and merciful and long suffering that he wants NO ONE to go to hell in that place. God has been dealing with you, your time to repent, turn back to God and leave that place is NOW!
What is the space of time to repent?
“The Lord … is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). The period of time when God deals with souls is called a “space to repent” in Revelation 2:21. Think of God's forbearance with Israel.
The end to all this is the days after they are tried and convicted.
I know as well as the FBI that the FBI are trying to pin it on Denis- but Denis does not have his name on anything with the House of Prayer organization.
Denis has been smart enough to not put his name on anything in case of the event that things go south- as they are now.
The FBI wants Denis jailed, that's why the case is taking so long.
The FBI can't prove Denis is in charge of anything- that's what they're missing.
Sure, they can jail Robertson, (I think) Lamar(?) and even Pilkington, but the FBI knows through witnesses that the person behind it all is Denis.
They want Denis imprisoned.
The CID was so the 3 men, Robertson, Lamar and Pilkington, can testify that Rony Denis is the head chair of House of Prayer.
Why you even have a chair, or corporate ownership of a church is beyond me!
A church shouldn't operate like that.
However, after Rony Denis does get tried and convicted (when they pin it on him), the Corporate House of Prayer will be displaced.
The people now in that church will have no where to go to because there won't be money to stabilize them.
They won't have that house they're living at, that car they drive- they will be longing for their next meal.
They will be looking for someone to lead them- maybe to start another church.
Are you living for the Lord? Or are you living for the church?
They will feel bitter towards us because they will blame us for renting the kingdom from them.
Do men have the power to rent and establish kingdoms, or isn't it from God?
At the day of judgment, God WILL SHOW them what true righteousness is, and what wickedness is.
He will show us the choice we made either in righteousness or wickedness- that I can be sure of.
Some people never want to hear your side of the story.
Why is that? With everything that is going on, I know they say within themselves....those still in the cult say, Why am I so afraid to hear their side of things? Why am I believing just one side?
They believe one side because they've been convinced that is "god's side" and for them to accept anything else means they have to come to terms with their own situation and realized that HOP has been a lie from the beginning.
A lot of you don't want to hear the stories of why a lot of us left and Denis capitalizes on your fear of asking by saying that we left because we were gay/lesbians/on pornography/God cut us off/we were rebellious/we are going to hell, etc...all of this is projection because he is doing all of that and more. Know this, that everything Denis and his minions say about us is the total opposite. You see us out on the streets and I know you wonder and say, wait a minute, Denis said, this and that about them and that such and such is going to happen to them, but I see the opposite🤔 It's because Denis is a LIAR and the truth is not in him. If you see us out on the street, don't be afraid, come and ask us, we'll be glad to tell you our side of the story.
