Post Cult Life.

Please tell us your stories of how good God has been to you after you left the cult. It doesn't have to be long, it can be short and sweet. Let's encourage the ones that are still in, that they can make it if they try. That God has opened doors for us to be free in Christ Jesus and He's doing the same for them. Thank you for sharing your stories.

it hasn't been an easy road, i've played the part of a prodigal aftwerward, but God kept me and brought me back. my life has been a lot more fulfilling and i've been able to grow and overcome some things, and and fighting to overcome more through the Grace of God. i really want to be able to help pray and get other people out of the cult

If bet it hasn’t been easy. No escape from that place would be. People struggle. It’s painful! Any reaction to how one handles getting out, can’t be judged. There is so much PTSD to work through.

I’m glad you got out! I’m glad your the prodigal son! HE always does have your back. HE loves you unconditionally. I’m glad your life is more fulfilling now. What a descriptive word to use that says a whole lot.

Thank you for sharing this good news about your life. May the Good Lord bless you and keep you every single day! May your prayers to help, be answered. Amen. 🤗

Coming from the perspective of watching a survivor of HOPCC, my husband.

He was lost when I met him. On self destruct to some degree. I didn’t know why. He had gaps that didn’t make sense. Didn’t know music or shows and I was picking up something was off… couple months after dating he “had to tell me something…” I braced myself as I for sure thought this is when he tells me he was in prison! The time missing… I hope it’s not murder….sheesh…. Alas he begins to tell me of his escape from a church and being hunted down and such. How the mortgage fraud was happening and so on. He was literally physically reacting as h…

You are very welcome Jane. I really wanted to express what I seen/ experienced and not take away from you all, who actually lived this painful experience. Your response makes me feel I did that. Thank you. In his own way, my husband had ways about him that helped me from my past hurts too. It’s neat how God sorts that all out even amongst unideal situations.

Thank YOU for sharing too!! It is all valuable insight, if not in a legal way, in a spiritual way for those who will read your words too. Gaining voices, individuality and power back is so important to healing. YOU are doing that. 🙌

I’m so glad you recognize your PTSD…
