They manipulate you making you think it's a blessing, when really you can do these things on your own.
What's sad is, say you decide to leave their church- the church will take your house and your car and all other assets because it is not under your name, leaving you with nothing.
I can speak for my son CJ. We bought his first car and it was a used one. He was having problems so we bought him a brand new Toyota Corolla in 2015. He only had the car for one year because on his one year anniversary coming back from Savannah he hit a deer, the car was totaled. We was going to get him another car but Robertson got ahead of us and gave my son a 2008 Camry that had been paid for already, it was his friends Julio's car. When I went to Robertson and told him that he did not need to give our son a car, that we was going to buy him a new one, he said oh well I guess CJ is going to have two car payments. I didn't want to put that burden on my son of having 2 car payments. Mind you, that car that Robertson "gave" him on Denis's orders, my son had to pay $200 a month and $53 insurance. How is he paying on a car that was already paid off!?!? I know it was to control him but CJ didn't see it like that. The way CJ was getting paid for example, He got paid one time $1,400. He deposited that check and he withdrew $1,000 to give back to the cult. Now, how was he living on $400 a month with a $200 car payment, $53 on insurance and $900 rent on the house that Denis put him in? This was back in 2015. Make that make sense! I know what he was getting paid because I had access to his bank account. The cult made it look like they were paying him a lot of money only to track it and make it look like they were paying CJ a lot of money, but then give it back, bunch of thieves and crooks! When I asked my son how does he even make it, he said oh mom it's a blessing and I said son the math it's not mathing. Of course he dropped the subject but that'show they do the people in the cult. A lot of them, their cars belong to higher up members and they "little" members pay their car notes. I remember when Bro Retana came from California to Hinesville, he had a nice Chrysler 300 but the cult told him to get rid of it because it was "too flashy" and the cult gave him a newer camry that belonged to Joe Breen but Retana had to pay for it. When Retana left the cult, Breen took away his car from him and gave it to the Molinas. They couldn't afford to pay for that car but the cult made them keep it. Sister Molina told me that they tried to get rid of the car but they couldn't because they were $10,000 in negative equity so they had no choice but to keep paying for a car they couldn't afford. So to answer you question, yes a lot of them don't own their own cars and the same goes for my son.
